Congratulations to all our donor partners holding fundraising events. As donations come in, we'd like to take this chance to remind you of the following:

• For 2007 tax receipting, all donations must be postmarked to Tides Canada by December 31st.
• As per CRA regulations, Tides Canada registers the postmarked date, not the date of the cheque, as the date the donation was made. We kindly request that you alert your fundraising volunteers not to hold on to donations and send them promptly to Tides Canada on or before December 31st.
• Tax receipts for all 2007 donations will be mailed before February 28, 2008.
• Banking rules require that cheques must be made out to "Tides Canada Foundation". We are not be able to deposit cheques made out to your fund name only without "Tides Canada Foundation" in the payee line and will need to return it to you for follow-up with the donor.
