Climate Change is considered to be the most serious threat facing the world today. According to the UN's Global Environment Outlook (GEO-4), there is "visible and unequivocal" evidence of the impacts of climate change.
We as leaders in our communities need to collaborate on reductions and solutions, and help mobilize our constituents and sectors to take swift and comprehensive action.
On November 14th, leaders in business, labour, First Nations, faith communities and environmental organizations will come together to explore solutions and courses of action to address climate change in British Columbia.

Objectives of the conference:
- Provide participants with a common understanding of the climate situation in BC so that substantive discussions around issues and actions is possible
- Start an inter-sector/inter-community discussion on what is currently being done around climate action and what additional support is needed for effective action within those sectors/communities.
- Uncover shared areas of concern, interest and impact among all sectors/communities.
- Determine the next steps required to encourage our sectors and communities to take action on climate change.
