Profile: The Funding Network Toronto

In October 2005, The Funding Network Toronto (TFN-TO) and Tides Canada launched the first North American chapter of a ‘giving circle’ based on a model started in London, England in 2002. The concept is simple. We select exciting and enterprising charitable projects and invite those charities to present their work to a group of people interested in finding out more.

Research shows that donors want to be better informed and more engaged in their giving than ever before. Furthermore, there is a growing need to make an impact in our communities and connect more deeply with the world.

Since that inaugural event, we already have had three successful “funding evenings, the last one just finishing this November. Learn more about TFN-Toronto in the November 13 issue of the National Post (Saturday).
