Tides Canada Foundation (Tides) and Sage Foundation (Sage Centre) are registered non-profit societies and registered charities under the Income Tax Act. Tides and Sage Centre work together to pursue common and complementary goals. The foundations are separate legal entities but share some staff and members of our respective Boards of Directors.
In April 2005, members of the Boards decided to operate Tides and Sage Centre under common control. Consequently, and in accordance with Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Practice, the audited financial statements have been prepared as if the two foundations are a single organization.
