Ross McMillan - CEO & President

Ross manages the foundation and oversees program development.  He was a principal architect of the $120 million conservation financing program that helped protect Canada's 21 million acre Great Bear Rainforest - the most significant integrated conservation program in North America. He also led the process to designate Clayoquot Sound as British Columbia’s first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and establish the $12 million federally-endowed Clayoquot Biosphere Trust.

As Tides Canada's Senior Associate since 2001, Ross has been integral to Tides Canada's work in conservation financing and donor contributions for environmental initiatives.  He has an extensive background in strategic planning, negotiations, fundraising, and policy and program development. and 25 years of experience in the not-for-profit, public and private sectors, including work on a broad range of social justice initiatives and significant engagement with the Canadian environmental community and its financial supporters.

Lesley Anderson - Director of Philanthropic Services

Lesley develops the range of charitable giving services and high-impact giving opportunities that enable donors to make a real difference in the world.  She manages operations at Tides Canada and works with donors to develop grant-making programs and ensures donor funds are impeccably managed.  Lesley has over fifteen years experience as a program and project manager in social justice and community economic development, with VanCity Community Foundation, the YWCA, MOSAIC, and Immigrant Services Society. She has also been a consultant in adult education programming.
